Lion Cub Peeking Out of a Cardboard Box Coloring Page
Coloring guide
This happy lion cub is peering over the edge of a big open cardboard box, with both chubby paws on the front flap. It has a wide smile and a little pink tongue showing. Look closely and you'll see round ears, big sparkly eyes, a small nose and a fluffy tuft of hair on top of its head. Two playful extras sit in the bottom corners: a large ball of yarn with crisscrossing strands on the left and a tiny mouse with a long curly tail on the right. Big shapes and bold outlines make it a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids still working on pencil control. Golden yellow looks great on the fur, with deeper orange for the hair tuft and red or purple for the yarn. Print it free whenever you need a quick coloring break. Add this to your Lion coloring page collection, alongside Bat and Cow.

- caramel brown
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big cardboard box: fill the front and the flaps with cardboard tan, leaving the paws and the cub's head for later.
- 2Color the cub's head, both paws and the small patch of fur between the paws with golden yellow.
- 3Fill the inside of both ears with light pink, then add the nose in caramel brown and the tongue in coral pink.
- 4Use sky blue for the yarn ball, working in curved stripes, and leave the small white streaks on it uncolored for a shiny look.
- 5Color the mouse body in light gray and its ear in light pink, then leave the eye shines on the cub white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of caramel brown or cardboard tan on the box to suggest texture.
