Side by side sit a little car with big round eyes and a wide grin and a smiling tractor with a tall exhaust pipe, chunky treaded tires and a friendly face on its grille. A big farm barn with crossed-board doors and a hayloft window stands behind them, along with a tall windmill with a round bladed wheel. Two round hay bales rest by a wooden fence, and fluffy clouds, rounded bushes and little tufts of grass fill out the rest. These look like original cartoon vehicles, not a specific movie character. Tires, barn doors and hay bales are large open shapes that small hands can fill in easily. Red barn, bright blue tractor and sunny yellow hay bales make a good start. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky and clouds: color the large cloud at the top left and the small cloud on the right in sky blue, leaving the background white.
- 2Fill the barn and its doors and fence with tomato red, then color the barn roof and windmill tower details, using silver gray or charcoal gray for the roof edges.
- 3Color the big tractor body in leaf green and grass green, and the small car in tomato red, leaving the tractor eye whites white for a happy expression.
- 4Add the golden yellow roof, hay bales and windmill blades, and the bright yellow headlights on the tractor.
- 5Fill the tires and bumpers in charcoal gray and slate gray, and the car window in sky blue.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading on the tires and barn roof with a darker shade of the same color to give depth.
