Zigzag Tire Monster Truck Facing Forward
Coloring guide
Facing straight ahead with a big friendly smile, this monster truck has two round cartoon eyes with shiny pupils. The roof carries four round lights in a row, and a small mirror sticks out on each side. You'll see horizontal slats on the grille and two coiled springs above the front axle, tucked between the giant tires. Every tire has a chunky chevron tread, so that zigzag gets lots of coloring time. There's no background at all, which means kids can draw their own mud, ramps or crowds in the white space. Bright orange or lime green works for the body, dark gray with a little blue on the treads, and yellow for the roof lights. The bold outlines suit preschoolers and early elementary kids, and the page is free to print for a quiet afternoon or a party. This fits right in with our Monster Trucks coloring pages — see also Ambulance and Race Car.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the large body areas such as the hood, the sides of the cab and the cheeks around the eyes with tomato red.
- 2Color the windshield sky blue and the lower face and chin area with light gray, leaving the smile white.
- 3Color the grille, the big tires, the side mirrors and the center chest panel with dark gray, keeping the tread zigzags clear.
- 4Color the four roof lights lemon yellow, then fill the center bumper circle, the spring coils and the tire hub strips with golden yellow.
- 5Use charcoal black on the darker tire edges and the pupils, and keep the eye whites and the smile white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker pencil-like strokes on the tires and red areas to give them a little texture and depth.
