A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big clouds and the top left and bottom right clouds with light blue and pale blue, leaving the background white.
- 2Fill the airplane body and fuselage with bright blue, and the wings, tail fin and wheels' surroundings with golden yellow.
- 3Color the scarf flowing from the pilot's arm and hand in red, and the pilot's face in peach with beige for the helmet.
- 4Add the goggles in sky blue and the propeller blades in light brown, with the propeller hub in golden yellow.
- 5Shade the engine ring and the wheel tires in charcoal and medium gray, keeping the small highlights and gaps between the struts white.
- 6Optional: Add a little dark brown to the pilot's ear and arm for depth, and leave the thin strut lines white for a crisp look.
