This black pot has a big open-mouthed smile, wide sparkly eyes and two ring handles. It sits on a patch of grass and is piled high with chunky round coins. A rainbow of several wide bands rises behind it and arches toward the top corner, with two fluffy clouds floating on the left. Grass tufts surround the pot, and a small stack of coins has spilled onto the ground at the lower right. Thick outlines and big open shapes keep it easy for preschoolers and early elementary kids, and it would suit a St. Patrick's Day party or classroom activity. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the pot body, rim, handle insides and feet in charcoal gray, leaving the eye whites and the small shines in the eyes white.
- 2Fill both clouds in sky blue, the top one and the small one on the left.
- 3Color the rainbow arcs: the wide band in golden yellow and the band next to it in leaf green.
- 4Fill all the coins, handles and knobs in golden yellow, then color the thin coin edges in amber orange.
- 5Color the open smile in cherry red at the corners and coral pink for the tongue.
- 6Optional: Add light diagonal strokes of charcoal gray over the pot and a little darker amber orange under the coins for depth.
