A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color both large pumpkins, the two small front pumpkins and the small pumpkin on the right in pumpkin orange, leaving the pumpkin stems and leafy bits white.
- 2Fill the scarecrow's hat with wheat tan and add a tomato red band around the hat.
- 3Color the overalls in denim blue, then fill the bib pocket and the pant cuffs with sky blue.
- 4Use tomato red, coral and apricot for the plaid shirt and sleeves, add pale yellow to the straw at the wrists, and fill the face with cream, keeping the eye whites white.
- 5Color the corn leaves and grass in leaf green, the thicker stalk in dark green, the wooden pole in chestnut brown, and the fence in wheat tan; leave the background corn leaves white. Optional: add a little darker shading on the overalls and pumpkins for depth.
