Garden Snowman Sweeping by the Gate

Beside a wooden garden gate, a snowman in a pom-pom knit hat and striped scarf grips a straw broom and sweeps away the snow. He has big mittens, a carrot nose and two buttons on his belly. Look closer and you will spot a wreath with a bow hanging on the gate, snow-capped fence posts and a glowing lantern on a post at the left. Further back are a park bench, a potted holly plant, snowy evergreens, bare branches and a cozy cottage with a chimney. Holly leaves and berries fill the foreground, so little hands get lots of small spaces to practice on. Red works well for the wreath bow and holly berries, and a soft warm yellow in the lantern flame will make it glow against the wintry scene. This free printable suits beginners as well as kids who love detailed pictures. Fans of Snowman coloring pages often like Halloween and Gingerbread House as well.
