Smiling Spider Hanging From a Thread

A friendly cartoon spider dangles from a single straight thread at the top of the page. Its round, fuzzy body has little tufts along the edges, and a smaller rounded head sits at the bottom with two dot eyes, a wide curved smile, and a tiny tuft of hair on top. Eight long, bendy legs spread out on both sides, four on each, with rounded tips and simple double-line outlines. The background is plain white, so nothing distracts from the spider. The big open body is perfect for trying a pattern like stripes, spots, or zigzags, and the wide legs are easy for small hands to color in. Kids could also count the legs together to practice counting to eight. This free printable works well for Halloween activities or a classroom bug unit.
