Color by Number (Adult) Squirrel Holding an Acorn on an Oak Branch
Coloring guide
This cheerful squirrel has big shiny eyes and tall tufted ears. It sits on a gnarled oak branch with a single acorn held in both front paws. The bushy tail curls up behind, and the chest and cheeks are drawn with soft, fluffy fur lines. You'll spot large lobed oak leaves on the left and at the bottom right. A cluster of acorns with textured caps hangs near the lower left corner, and one more acorn sits at the lower right. Bold outlines and open shapes make this free printable easy for kids, but there's enough detail to keep older colorers happy too. Reddish-brown looks great on the fur with cream on the belly. Mixing golden yellow and olive green on the leaves helps the acorns stand out. Looking for more? - 1Color the squirrel's head, body, fluffy tail, and ears with burnt orange, leaving the eye shines and inner ears for later.
- 2Fill the squirrel's inner ears with light pink and the little nose with soft pink.
- 3Color the belly patch, both paws, and the tummy area with cream, keeping the teeth white.
- 4Color the oak leaves on the left, bottom, and right with leaf green, then fill the tree branch with warm brown.
- 5Color the held acorn's nut with golden brown and its cap with dark brown, then fill the two acorns on the branch with light tan and golden brown, leaving the small highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of burnt orange on the tail and golden brown on the acorn to give the fur and nut a bit more depth.
