Friendly Stag on a Grassy Hill Mid-Step

Coloring guide
A stag with large branching antlers stands on top of a small grassy hill, one front leg lifted as if it is mid-step. Its head is turned to the side with a friendly smile, and a fluffy tuft of fur hangs from the neck and chest. The short tail has a little patch of fur at the tip. Around the hooves you can see blades of grass and small flowers with five rounded petals scattered across the slope. Behind the deer are big puffy bushes or clouds with thick wavy outlines, and curved lines in the background suggest rolling hills. Try coloring the antlers and body in two or three shades of brown, then use bright crayons for the flowers. Kids can also count the antler points together, which makes a nice quiet counting activity. This printable page works well for a nature unit or a calm afternoon at the table.
