Soccer Ball Shell Turtle

Head lifted and mouth open in a big smile, this happy turtle strolls across the page with one round eye shining. Its domed shell is split into large hexagon-style sections, a little like a soccer ball, so there are roomy shapes to fill in. Four chunky legs with rounded toes and a small tail keep the outline simple and friendly. A few tufts of grass are drawn around its feet and the rest of the background is blank. Thick, clean lines make this a good free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids still building pencil control. For a fun twist, color the shell panels in alternating black and white like a real soccer ball, then use bright green for the skin and grass. Crayons, markers or colored pencils all work.
