Happy Two-Tier Birthday Cake with Five Candles
Coloring guide
This cake has a face! It's a two-layer birthday cake on a pedestal stand, with sparkly eyes and an open smile on the lower tier. Five striped candles with tiny flames stand on the top tier. Wavy icing drips down both layers, and round sprinkle dots dot the frosting. A few lines under the stand look like a wooden table or floor. Shapes are big and open, so it's a nice free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids who are building crayon control. Pastel pink on the top tier and sky blue on the bottom would look sweet, with rainbow sprinkles and yellow and orange flames. The candle stripes are a good place to switch between two favorite colors. If you enjoyed this Cake page, don't miss our For Girls and For Kids coloring pages.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: fill the cake body on both tiers with butter yellow, then color the frosting on top of each tier with soft pink.
- 2Color the pink band between the two tiers with bubblegum pink, and the pink strip at the bottom of the lower tier with soft pink.
- 3Paint the cake stand and its base in aqua mint, and color the wooden table floor in wood brown.
- 4Make the candles: the first candle gets sky blue and baby blue stripes, the second gets bubblegum pink and soft pink stripes, the middle one is lavender purple, the fourth is grass green, and the fifth gets tangerine orange and warm orange stripes. Color all the flames lemon yellow.
- 5Add the face: fill the smile with hot rose and the tongue with soft pink, and keep the little eye sparkles white.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker tone along the edges of the cake and candles to make them look rounder.
