Strawberry on a Layered Cake Slice
Coloring guide
One tall wedge of layered cake rests on a round plate, crowned with a swirl of whipped cream and a big strawberry that has a leafy green top and tiny seed dots. Three sponge layers are divided by wavy bands of frosting, and small circles on the sponge suggest crumbs. A fork lies at the lower right of the plate. Thick, clean outlines keep it easy for little hands, while the tiny dots give older kids something to concentrate on. Red for the strawberry, green for the leaves, pink or cream between the layers and yellow sponge will give a classic bakery look. Use it at a birthday party table, in a baking lesson or on a quiet dessert-loving afternoon. This page is part of our Cake coloring pages collection — check out Fruit and For Girls too.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- butter yellow
- sky blue
- soft pink
- strawberry red
- leaf green
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the three cake layers: color them butter yellow, and leave the little round dots on the sponge white.
- 2Fill the two thin cream strips between the cake layers with soft pink, keeping their wavy edges neat.
- 3Color the plate and the fork sky blue, including the rim and the inner ring of the plate.
- 4Fill the strawberry with strawberry red and leave its small oval seeds white. Then color the leaves leaf green.
- 5Leave the whipped cream on top, the cake top frosting and the side edge of the slice white so they stand out.
- 6Optional: add a light touch of darker yellow along the bottom of each cake layer, or a little extra red on one side of the strawberry, to give it a bit of depth.
