Buck-Toothed Worm Peeking from an Apple by the Chalkboard
Coloring guide
A big cartoon apple sits at the lower left of the page with a leaf and a short stem on top. A cheerful worm pokes out of the side of the apple, with wide round eyes, a big grin, and two buck teeth showing. Behind it is a framed chalkboard with a wooden border and the words BACK TO SCHOOL! written in thick, bold letters. A stick of chalk and an eraser rest on the ledge at the bottom of the board. The letters are large and open, so they are easy to color in for little hands. Try red or green for the apple, a bright color for the worm, and a dark gray or green for the chalkboard while leaving the letters white like real chalk. It also works well as a calm first-week-of-school activity in a classroom or at the kitchen table.
