Snowman Gets a Carrot Nose from a Ghost

Coloring guide
Wearing a chunky knit pom-pom hat and a long braided scarf with fringe, a smiling little ghost pushes a carrot nose onto a snowman's face. The snowman has its own pom-pom beanie and a striped scarf, plus a dotted smile, stick arms and four X-shaped buttons down its round body. Snowy evergreen trees fill the background. Snowflakes and small round snowballs drift through the air, and little bare twigs poke out of the snow banks up front. The big knit patterns and wide open spaces make this free printable good for kids who enjoy coloring details, and the simple snowman body works for beginners. Soft blues and purples would suit the ghost's scarf and hat, with a bright orange carrot and red and white stripes on the snowman's scarf to stand out against the winter scene. Fans of Ghost coloring pages often like Witch and Elf as well.

- 1Start with the big trees and bushes: fill the evergreen trees and the small bushes in forest green, leaving the snowy tips white.
- 2Paint the snow banks, the ground and the bushes in ice blue to give the scene a cold, wintry feel.
- 3Color the left hat in red and the right hat in royal blue, then add cream to the two pom-poms on top.
- 4Fill the left scarf with sage green and its fringe with charcoal gray, and color the right scarf in pale blue with bright blue stripes.
- 5Color the carrot nose orange and leave the snowmen's faces, bellies and the snowy tree tops white.
- 6Optional: Add a light touch of sky blue in the background sky and a little coral pink on the left hat to make the colors pop.
