Spike the Bulldog Spikes Past Diving Tom in Beach Volleyball
Coloring guide
Tom the cat dives low on a sandy court with his eyes squeezed shut and his mouth wide open, as a round ball zooms past his outstretched paw. Across the net, a big bulldog leaps through the air with one arm raised high and a wide grin, wearing shorts and a collar-style top. Little Jerry sits on the tall referee stand at the left. He wears a baseball cap, has a whistle in his mouth, and points toward the action, with small motion lines near the whistle. The net post, the net, and the wavy sand patches with tiny dots give the page plenty of space for color. Try warm yellows and tans for the sand, then pick bold team colors for the shorts so each player stands out. It also works well for a talk about taking turns and playing fair.
