Splashing Waves with Dora the Explorer
Coloring guide
Dora is jumping for joy in the water, both arms thrown up and out and a huge smile on her face. She kneels mid-splash with drawn droplets flying around her hands and feet. Her outfit is a striped swimsuit top with a layered ruffle skirt, plus a beaded bracelet on one wrist, and she still has her bob haircut with straight bangs. A smiling sun with pointed rays shines from the upper left corner. Down at the bottom, a seashell sits on the left and a starfish on the right near the wavy splashes. Bold outlines and open spaces suit preschoolers and early elementary kids. Turquoise and sky blue for the water and golden yellow for the sun would be lovely. It's a free printable for coloring fans of any age. Browse more Dora the Explorer coloring pages, or explore Sing (movie) and Demon Slayer for even more fun.

- 1Start with the sun face in lemon yellow and the sun rays in golden orange, leaving the thin white ring around the sun's face unpainted.
- 2Fill Dora's face, arms, hands, and legs with peach skin, keeping the eye whites white.
- 3Color Dora's hair with chocolate brown, then paint the swimsuit stripes alternating between rose pink, violet purple, and rose pink.
- 4Add the skirt ruffles in hot pink and rose pink, and paint the starfish bright orange.
- 5Fill the water splashes, puddle, and droplets with sky blue, and color the pale yellow rock at the bottom left.
- 6Optional: Add a little dark red to the open mouth and coral red to the tongue, leaving the teeth white for a bright finish.
