Coloring guide

A young fawn stands in three-quarter view with its head turned to the left and a small smile on its face. It has large pointed ears, two little nubs on top of its head, a big eye with lashes, and a round nose. A cluster of oval spots runs across its back near the tail, which flicks upward. The legs are long and thin, and the hooves rest on a patch of scribbly grass. Three small flowers with rounded petals sit near the front feet. The lines are bold and the spaces are fairly large, so it works well for younger kids using crayons or chunky markers. Try warm browns on the body and leave the spots cream or yellow so they stand out. Then let your child pick bright colors for each flower. It is also a nice starting point for talking about why fawns have spots.
