Spotted Buck Looking Back With Raised Hoof

Coloring guide
A spotted buck stands on its hind legs and one front leg while the other front leg lifts off the ground, as if mid-step. Its head is turned back over its shoulder, and the antlers have several pointed tines branching upward. Small dots and dashes are scattered across the neck, back, and flanks, and the short tail at the right is filled in solid black. The bold outlines make this an easy page for younger kids to color. Try a warm reddish brown for the body and leave the spots white or switch to cream, then talk about why some deer have spotted coats. Older kids can add shading along the thick lines under the neck and belly. It is a nice printable pick for a nature lesson on forest animals.
