Spring Meadow Princess Picking Tulips

Bending forward in a grassy meadow to pick a tulip, a smiling girl in a small heart-decorated crown lets her long wavy hair fall over her shoulders. Her puffy-sleeved dress has a round collar, and she holds a woven basket already full of tulips and daisy-style flowers. A little bunny sits by her skirt looking up, and a smiling butterfly flutters above along a dotted flight path. There's a sun with simple rays in the top corner, plus more tulips, daisies and grass tufts in the foreground. Younger kids can fill the big shapes of the dress and basket, while older ones can work on the petals. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big areas: color the princess's hair and the crown and sun in golden yellow, and the dress skirt, sleeves and headband in sky blue.
- 2Color the dress bodice and belt in bright blue, and the face and hands in light peach, leaving the collar white.
- 3Fill the tulips in bright red, the leaves and grass in leaf green and grass green, and the hill at the left in grass green.
- 4Color the basket in warm brown, add the flowers in lavender purple, and give the bunny its warm brown body with cream tail.
- 5Finish the details: leave the flower petals and the white tulip in the basket white, color the flower centers and butterfly in lemon yellow, and add rose pink or hot pink to the butterfly wings.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shading with a slightly darker shade of each color along the edges for a softer look.
