Star-Topped Christmas (Adult) Tree with Ornaments and Presents
Coloring guide
This page is all about a big Christmas tree with a star on top. Its branches are scalloped tiers that look a bit like clouds, and six round ornaments hang between the layers. Two swags of bulb-shaped lights loop across the tree, so there are lots of tiny shapes for little hands to color one at a time. Four wrapped presents sit at the bottom: one with polka dots, a large one with a big ribbon and bow, one with diagonal stripes, and a small one in front. Patterned and plain areas side by side work nicely with crayons, colored pencils, or fine markers. A classic green tree with red and gold ornaments and a bright yellow star is a good place to start. - 1Fill the whole Christmas tree, from the star-side top tier down to the bottom skirt, with forest green, leaving the small shine spots on the ornaments white.
- 2Color the star and all the bows and ribbon strips on the presents golden yellow.
- 3Color the big center present sky blue, the left present cherry red with white polka dots, and the right present forest green with cherry red stripes.
- 4Paint the small front present cherry red with forest green stripes and a forest green bow, then add a small blush pink patch on the top of the left present.
- 5Color the round ornaments: cherry red on the top and middle, sky blue on the left and lower right, and golden yellow on the right and lower left, keeping their highlights white.
- 6Finish the light strings by coloring the bulbs in cherry red, sky blue and golden yellow, and leave the background white. Optional: add a darker green shadow along the lower edges of the tree branches.
