Storybook Castle with Flags, Birds and a Winding Path, Ever After High
Coloring guide
A tall storybook castle takes up this whole page. The central tower has a long pennant flag on top, and four smaller pointed turrets each wave a flag too. Arched windows, battlements and little stone bricks add lots of detail, and the big arched wooden door with two round knockers sits right at the front. A curving path leads from the bottom edge up to the gate across a grassy hill with tufts of grass. There's a leafy tree on each side, round bushes by the walls, fluffy clouds and two small birds in the sky. Kids who enjoy patient detail work will like this free printable. Purple or pink stripes on the turret roofs look fun, and a warm brown door makes the entrance stand out. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sky: color both large clouds and the small cloud on the right with sky blue, leaving the background white around them.
- 2Fill the two blue birds with bright blue, keeping the small white highlights on their wings and heads unpainted.
- 3Color the main castle walls, towers and turrets with blush pink, including the front gate towers and the center wall.
- 4Paint all the pointed roofs with lavender purple and the flags with golden yellow. Use soft lilac on the battlement tops near the gate.
- 5Color the trees with forest green, the grass and bushes with grass green, and the path with sandy tan. Add wood brown trunks and the wooden door.
- 6Finish with light gray on the gate stones and window frames, then fill the tiny details. Optional: add a little darker shading on one side of each roof for depth.
