Striped Candy Num Noms with Pigtail Bows
Coloring guide
This squishy-looking candy character gives you a wink right from the page. One eye is big, round and glossy with a little lash flick, and the other is a closed, curved wink, with a small oval mouth between them. Wide diagonal stripes cross the whole body, so it's easy to switch colors back and forth. Two pigtails sit on top, each tied with a looped bow and finished with a fluttery, pleated tip, like the twisted ends of a wrapped candy. The background is blank, so the character gets all the attention. Big stripes and large bow loops are great for kids who like bold areas to fill. Pink and white stripes with bright yellow or purple bows give a sweet candy look. Print the free PDF for a quick coloring break. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- bubblegum pink
- cream
- golden yellow
- sky blue
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big candy body: color the wide diagonal stripes in bubblegum pink, leaving the other wide stripes in cream so they alternate.
- 2Fill the two large ribbon fans at the top: use sky blue for the outer blue ribbons and bubblegum pink for the thin ribbon strips between them.
- 3Color both pigtail bows in golden yellow, including the loops and the center knots.
- 4Color the small pink stripes on the right and left edges of the body in bubblegum pink to match the stripe pattern.
- 5Leave the bright eye shine on the dark eye white so it still sparkles.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra texture by lightly going over the stripes with a second layer of color in the same direction.
