Sunflower Face With Sleepy Eyes and Rosy Cheeks

Coloring guide
A cheerful sunflower fills the page, with a round center that has a happy face drawn right on it. The eyes are closed in little curved lines, there is a tiny nose, and a wide smile stretches across the middle. Two circles on the cheeks give it a rosy, content look. Around the face, pointed petals are layered in several rows, each with a center crease line, and small zigzag triangles ring the edge of the center. A short curved stem comes out at the bottom, with two leaves that have jagged edges. The lines are bold and the sections are fairly large, so it works well for younger kids with crayons or markers. Try coloring the cheek circles pink or orange, then use two shades of yellow on the petal rows so the layers stand out. It is also a nice starting point for talking about how sunflowers grow and why they turn toward the sun.
