Sunny Basket with Bow, Butterfly and Eggs

A large woven basket with a big bow on the handle sits in the middle of the page, filled with three decorated eggs resting on ruffled paper grass. The eggs show wavy lines, dots, stripes and little flowers. Around the base are more eggs lying in the grass: one plain, one with diagonal stripes, one with a zigzag diamond pattern, one with dots and wavy bands, and another with curvy vertical lines. A smiling sun with pointed rays shines in the top right corner, and a friendly butterfly with curly antennae floats near a puffy cloud at the top left. The plain eggs are great for kids who want to invent their own patterns, so try handing out crayons and letting them design stripes, spots or flowers. The large open areas on the basket also suit younger children who are still working on staying inside the lines. Print it for a spring classroom or an Easter morning at the kitchen table.
