Superhero Garfield Lifting a Giant Sandwich
Coloring guide
Garfield strikes a proud superhero pose in a cape, boots, gloves and belt, with a big letter G on his chest. He grins wide with half-closed eyes and holds a huge stacked sandwich high like a trophy. The sandwich is full of things to color: lettuce, sliced meat, tomato, a round slice of ham, deviled egg halves, and an olive on a toothpick on top. Simple outlined skyscrapers fill the background behind him, and bubble-style GARFIELD lettering arches across the top. Younger kids can have fun with the sandwich layers, while older ones can take on the buildings. A bright red cape and boots with a golden G emblem will make Garfield stand out against a softly shaded city. Grab the free PDF and print it for classroom time or a rainy day. This fits right in with our Garfield coloring pages — see also Kitten and Pusheen.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sandwich top and stack by coloring the top bun and lettuce layers in lime green, leaving the highlight streaks white.
- 2Fill Garfield's body with orange, including his head, arms, and legs, and keep the teeth and eye whites white.
- 3Color the superhero cape and chest area in red, then add the bright yellow G emblem and belt.
- 4Use bright yellow for the title letters and the background glow, leaving the outline areas around the letters white.
- 5Add the boots in sky blue, and fill the sandwich cheese and ham layers with chocolate brown, salmon pink, and red for a tasty look.
- 6Optional: Add a little peach or pale yellow to the sandwich bread slices and a touch of brick red to the tomato for extra depth.
