Soaring Over a Jungle River with Toucans, Rainbow Rangers Style
Coloring guide
Arms stretched wide, a smiling girl in a superhero outfit flies across the sky while her long ponytail and flowing cape stream out behind her. She has a heart-shaped emblem on her chest, a round brooch at her collar, a belt with a circular buckle, and tall boots. Three toucans with big curved beaks fly around her with their wings open. Far below, a winding river cuts through rounded treetops, with a few palm trees and faraway hills near the horizon, and fluffy clouds sit in the sky corners. The cape and wings are large open shapes that little hands can fill easily, and the tree canopy gives older kids more to work on. A purple and pink cape feels rainbow-inspired, and orange beaks help the toucans stand out. Print it at home for a classroom project or a weekend craft. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the jungle background: color the distant hills in mint green, the river in sky blue, and the bushes and palm trees in lime green and forest green.
- 2Color the flowing cape and the cape edges in cherry red, leaving the thin highlight streaks in the hair and cape white.
- 3Fill the girl's suit, sleeves and the bodies of the toucans in royal blue, then color the face, hands and neck in peach skin.
- 4Color the ponytail and hair in chestnut brown, then add the golden yellow hair tie, boots, belt, buckle, heart and sleeve cuffs.
- 5Finish the toucans: tangerine orange wings, golden yellow beaks and bellies, a lavender purple feather on the right toucan, and cherry red tail feathers and legs.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading in the cape folds and the bushes to make the scene feel deeper.
