Two swans glide face to face on a calm pond, their long curved necks coming together to make a heart. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by coloring the water and the lake strip behind the swans with sky blue, leaving the swans' bodies and the sky white.
- 2Fill the reeds, lily pads, and grass with grass green, then color the bushes between the swans and at the sides with forest green.
- 3Color the two tall cattails with warm brown and touch the reed tips with sage green for a softer look.
- 4Paint the swans' beaks bright orange, then fill the lily flowers with soft pink, using peach on a few inner petals.
- 5Add golden yellow centers to the lilies, leaving the swans' eyes and the highlights white. Optional: add a slightly darker blue along the water edges for depth.
