Swarm the Skylanders Insect Hero Ready for Battle
Coloring guide
Swarm is the armored insect hero from Skylanders, and here he's standing tall in a ready-to-fight pose with his name spelled out in bold letters along the bottom. Look for the two curved antennae, the fierce grin, and the ribbed, segmented chest and belly. One arm is raised with a big fist and a large, jagged, leaf-shaped blade on the forearm. The other fist is clenched with spiky claws, and a pointed shield-like wing sits at his side. His striped, rounded legs finish in chunky feet. With no background, kids can really zero in on all the plates and stripes. Lime green and golden yellow on the armor with orange blades gives him a buzzing look. It's a good free page for older kids who like detailed shading. This page is part of our Skylanders coloring pages collection — check out Plants vs. Zombies and Roblox too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the large wings, the arms, the legs and the lower body with violet purple, leaving the yellow armor areas for later.
- 2Color the head, chest, shoulder pads, belt and the armor bands on the arms and legs in bright yellow, including the title letters SWARM.
- 3Use deep purple for the dark shadow areas under the wing spikes, the sides of the body and the left wing base.
- 4Add medium gray to the belly plate, the knee and foot joints and the hand fingers, with warm gray for the lower leg bits and taupe brown for the belly band.
- 5Use pale lemon for the horns and antenna tip, amber orange for the small finger and belt details, and jet black for the eye, keeping the eye white and the antenna loop white.
- 6Optional: lightly add a darker purple or dark slate touch along the edges of the wings to give the hero more depth.
