Swirled Frosting Cupcake With Ribbed Wrapper

A single cupcake fills the page, topped with a tall swirl of frosting that curls around in thick wavy bands and ends in a soft peak. Below the frosting, a wide round dome of icing sits on the rim of the cupcake liner. The liner has vertical ribbed stripes, and the bottom of it is filled in solid black, which gives the drawing a strong base. The lines are bold and clean, so even young kids can stay inside them with a crayon or marker. Try coloring each frosting swirl in a different shade, like pink, white and light purple, then pick a bright pattern for the wrapper stripes. This free printable also works well for talking about spirals and repeating stripes, and kids can count how many ribs they see on the liner.
