A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big rug and floor areas: fill the rug's middle and ring in ocean blue and the outer edge in golden yellow, then the wooden floor in light honey.
- 2Color the teacher's jeans in navy blue and her skin tone face and hands, leaving the eye whites and small shine spots white.
- 3Fill the children's clothes: royal blue for the left boy's hoodie, cherry red for the right boy's sweater and hoodie, bubblegum pink for the girl's sweater, and lavender purple for the girl's pants.
- 4Color the hair next: chestnut brown for the girl's ponytail and left boy, dark brown for the right boy's curls, orange for the curly child, and caramel brown for the teacher's hair.
- 5Add the background details: pale sky blue for the book's sky and window, leaf green for the tree and book tree, and amber gold for the chair and shelf edges. Keep the teddy bear and bins mostly white.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading with a darker shade of each color on one side of the hoodies and jeans to make them look more rounded.
