A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the skin: color the boy's and girl's faces, necks, and hands peach, leaving the eye whites and the bright shine on the girl's hair white.
- 2Color the boy's shirt and sleeves medium blue, and the girl's top and sleeves rose pink.
- 3Fill both aprons and the cupcake frosting with cream, keeping the cupcake highlights white.
- 4Color the big mixing bowl and mixer parts sky blue and light blue, the small bowl lavender, and the batter and spoon pale yellow.
- 5Add brown to the hair and ponytail, golden brown to the cabinets, counter and wooden spoon, light gray to the baking tray and jar lids, and leaf green to the plant leaves; keep the large jar and the background white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading under the hair, sleeves and bowls to make the shapes pop.
