The Legend of Zelda Explorer at the Giant Stone Door
Coloring guide
With his back to us, a young explorer in a wide-brimmed hat holds a small lantern and looks up at an enormous arched double door set into a rocky cliff. Swirling scroll patterns cover the door, with a star-shaped flower medallion at the top and a diamond-carved keystone in the stone arch above. He carries a backpack with a rolled blanket and a little pouch at his side, and wears sturdy boots. Flowers and leafy bushes dot the rocks along a pebbly path behind him, and a misty mountain range with pine trees, a lake and clouds fills the left background. Patient colorers will enjoy all the swirls on this free printable. Try warm golden browns and deep teal for the door, and a bright red or orange glow for the lantern so it stands out. - 1Start with the sky in sky blue and the distant mountains in soft blue, leaving the fluffy clouds white.
- 2Fill the rock walls, arch stones and wall blocks with light stone gray, then add warm gray to the shadowed stones.
- 3Color the giant door in wood brown and the stone trim around it in tan, leaving the carved swirls and the star medallion white.
- 4Add golden yellow to the lantern and the glowing swirl accents on the door, and use sandy beige for the dirt path.
- 5Color the trees in forest green and sage green, and the bushes and grass in grass green, then fill the hiker's hat in tan and shirt in grass green.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading with slate gray along the edges of the rocks and under the bushes to make the scene pop.
