A Beyblade spinning top, seen from directly above, is the subject here. In the center sits a hexagon engraved with a fierce dragon head and flames. Three big curved blades swirl outward like rolling flames, and thinner rings and layered edges circle the middle. Each blade has small flame-shaped cutouts, so there are lots of little sections for different colors. No background is drawn, which keeps the focus on the top. Kids who like detailed designs and a challenge with fine-tip markers or colored pencils will enjoy it most. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the dragon center: fill the hexagon panels and the dragon head and claws with golden yellow, leaving the dragon's swirling mane and the thin lines white.
- 2Color the large outer blades and wings with bright red, chocolate brown and rust orange, alternating colors so neighboring pieces look different.
- 3Fill the blue sections on the left, lower left and back ring with deep blue, bright blue and dusty blue for a cool contrast.
- 4Add the gray parts: light gray and silver gray on the ring rims and small tabs, dark gray and charcoal black on the inner ring shadows and slots.
- 5Finish with the smaller accents: pale yellow on the thin top swirl, dark olive on the lower edges, and tangerine orange on the small inner loop.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along the edges of the blades with a slightly darker shade of the same color to make the top look more three-dimensional.
