Three Splashing Ducklings and a Rainbow Cloud, Rainbow & Pot of Gold (St. Patrick's) Page
Coloring guide
At the top of the page, a smiling cloud floats and sprinkles raindrops over three playful ducklings. One duckling stands in the middle with its wings spread wide and one foot lifted. The other two splash in their own puddles on the left and right, beaks open in big grins. A banded rainbow arches behind the cloud and ends in two small puffy clouds. Four-leaf clovers and little tufts of grass fill the bottom corners and sides, which ties in with the St. Patrick's theme. The ripples and splashes around the ducklings leave lots of room for crayons. Soft yellow ducklings with bright orange beaks and feet look sweet, and light blue works for the puddles and raindrops. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the rainbow arcs: color the outer red bands, then the yellow, green, and blue inner bands, leaving small gaps between them if you like.
- 2Fill the cloud in the middle with soft light blue and the two side clouds with very pale blue, keeping the cloud's eyes and smile details ready for later.
- 3Color the three ducklings in sunny yellow, including their wings and heads, leaving the eye whites untouched.
- 4Add the beaks and feet in orange, then fill the puddles and water splashes with bright sky blue.
- 5Color the raindrops and the little splashes in bright sky blue, and fill the cloud's smile with rose pink.
- 6Finish with grass green for the clovers and leave the small flowers and grass white. Optional: add a little darker yellow shading under the duckling wings for depth.
