Three German Shepherd Dogs Resting by a Wooden Fence

Three German Shepherd dogs pose together in front of a tall wooden plank fence. Two of them lie on the grass with their front paws stretched out, one on the left looking off to the side and one on the right with its head turned the same way. The third dog sits upright in the middle, behind the others, with its ears up. All three have their mouths open and tongues hanging out, so they look relaxed and a little tired. The artist used fine dotted shading and short pen lines for the fur, and the grass at the bottom is drawn with scratchy strokes. Try coloring each dog in a different mix of tan, black, and brown to show how shepherd coats vary. Pencils work well for the small fur details, and this free printable also gives older kids a good chance to practice shading.
