Three Kids Having a Picnic in Anime Style
Coloring guide
Three children share snacks on a checkered blanket beneath a big leafy tree. On the left, a boy with spiky hair holds a sandwich. The girl in the middle has a puffy-sleeved dress and a flower in her hair, and she's holding a sandwich too. On the right, a girl with a long ponytail holds a small apple. In front of them are a woven basket filled with apples, grapes and a banana, a plate of sandwiches and a bowl of strawberries. Three butterflies flutter overhead, and grass tufts and little flowers frame the edges. The blanket and leaves are big open shapes, so this free printable works for younger kids and careful colorers alike. Bright reds for the apples and strawberries and soft greens for the grass and leaves would do nicely. Love this Anime Style coloring page? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sky and mat areas: leave the sky and the checkered picnic mat squares white, then color the mat's pink squares in soft pink and pale rose.
- 2Color the tree with brown for the trunk and branches, and fill the leaves with light green, grass green, and deep green for a lively canopy.
- 3Fill the grass and bushes in the background with grass green and lime green, and color the picnic basket and its weave in tan orange.
- 4Paint the skin areas of the three kids in light peach, and the girl's dress in rose pink.
- 5Color the boy's shirt and shorts in bright blue and soft gold, the right girl's shirt in yellow, and the hair in brown, dark brown, and tan orange.
- 6Finish with the food and small details: add bright red and tangerine to the apples and fruit, cream to the sandwiches, and pale aqua to the bowl. Optional: Add a little darker shade along the edges of the hair and shirts for depth.
