Three smiling kids in little superhero capes share a woven basket beneath a big hot air balloon, and the girl in the middle cheers with one fist in the air. The boy on the left has a star on his chest, the girl wears a heart and a ponytail, and the curly-haired boy on the right has a lightning bolt. A row of five hearts runs across a wide band on the balloon, with striped sections above and below. Puffy clouds and a few little birds fill the sky. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the balloon panels first: use golden yellow for the top and center panels, tangerine orange for the side panels, grass green for the lower left and upper right, and bright red for the lower right and the upper left edge.
- 2Fill the heart band across the middle of the balloon: bright red for the center section, bright blue on the far left and far right, and tangerine orange and grass green for the panels in between. Leave the hearts white for now.
- 3Color the hearts in bubblegum pink, then fill the blue and golden yellow stripes just below the band.
- 4Paint the basket in caramel brown and chocolate brown, weaving the rim a bit darker. Leave the small gaps between the weave white for a woven look.
- 5Color the three kids: peach or cream beige for faces, dark brown for the curly hair, chocolate brown for the left boy's hair, tangerine orange for the girl's hair, bright blue and bright red for the capes, and grass green for the right boy's shirt. Keep the eye whites and the girl's hand shine white.
- 6Finish with pale sky blue clouds and the background. Optional: add a little darker shading along the bottom of the balloon and the basket for depth.
