Sailboat Crew of Three Kittens and Seagulls, 44 Cats
Coloring guide
Three smiling kittens are squeezed into a little sailboat, and each has a job. The one on the left squints happily through a spyglass, the middle kitten hugs the tall mast, and the one on the right waves a paw over the side. Two of them wear neckerchiefs. A big curved sail with simple stripes fills the space behind them, and the boat's curved wooden planks leave lots of room for color. Rolling waves splash up on both sides below, and three seagulls fly overhead near a puffy cloud. Bold shapes and clean lines suit preschoolers and early elementary kids, and the PDF is free to print. A red or yellow sail with a few shades of blue and teal in the waves will help the kittens pop against the sea. Fans of 44 Cats coloring pages often like Puppy Dog Pals and Calico Critters as well.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the sail stripes first: use bright red for the top and middle bands and golden yellow for the bands in between, leaving the thin strip beside the mast white.
- 2Fill the boat with caramel brown, adding a darker dark brown along the lower edges and at the base of the mast, and color the sea waves with sky blue.
- 3Color the three kittens' fur with apricot orange, leaving their white muzzles, chest patches, and eye whites untouched.
- 4Add rose pink inside the kittens' ears, light tan to the middle kitten's front paw, and caramel brown to the mast and its top.
- 5Finish the details: color the telescope slate gray with a light steel blue eyepiece, the leaves green, and the necktie royal blue, and leave the seagulls white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker orange strokes on the kittens' fur and a little extra caramel brown on the hull's shadow side for depth.
