Three Cars in the Desert Canyon, Disney Cars Page
Coloring guide
Puffs of dust kick up behind three cheerful cartoon cars rolling along a rocky desert trail. On the left, a boxy van with a roof rack and a wide grin leads the way, and on the right a small round car with a grille smile follows. A long, low, classic muscle-style car with big eyes sits front and center. Tall flat-topped rock formations rise behind them under a big sun with long rays and a few puffy clouds. The foreground is filled with tall saguaro cacti, prickly pear pads, spiky desert plants and scattered pebbles. Big car bodies and smaller background details mean it works for different ages. Orange and red sandstone, a sunny yellow sun, and a bright teal or purple van will stand out nicely against the desert. This free printable is a good pick for kids who love cars.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- sandy tan
- bright red
- golden yellow
- tangerine orange
- light gray
- sky blue
- pale blue
- yellow green
- mustard
- pale aqua
- burnt orange

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sun and the sky clouds: color the sun golden yellow and the clouds pale blue, leaving the small cloud near the middle white.
- 2Color the red rock mesas and the tall cliffs on both sides in tangerine orange, then fill the cacti and desert plants with yellow green.
- 3Paint the big red car in bright red, including its hood, doors and side panels, but leave the eyes and the big smile white.
- 4Color the blue van in sky blue and the small car on the right in golden yellow, keeping the van windows and the yellow car's windshield white.
- 5Fill the sandy desert ground and the round bushes with sandy tan, and color the van's grille and the road details in light gray.
- 6Optional: add a few light shading strokes in a darker shade of each main color near the edges of the cars and mesas to make them look rounder.
