Twelve Spiral Candles Around a Cherry-Topped Birthday Cake

A big three tier cake fills the page, with wavy icing dripping down the side of every layer. A single cherry with a little stem sits on the small top tier. Twelve tall candles stand around the cake, each wrapped in a spiral stripe and topped with a curved wick. None of them have flames, so you can decide whether they are lit. The wide bottom layer has plenty of open space, which makes it easy for younger kids to color. The stripes on the candles are a good challenge for older kids. Try coloring each candle in a different color to practice counting up to twelve, or use a repeating pattern like red, yellow, blue. This free printable works well for a birthday party table or a classroom celebration.
