Wedding Cake with Two Lovebirds and Hearts

Two little round birds perch on top of a three-tier cake, smiling and facing each other beak to beak, with one heart floating over their heads. The top tier carries three hearts and a large ribbon bow, with blossoms and leaves on either side. On the middle tier, swags of icing loop between small hearts, and three flowers cluster at the bottom. The wide bottom tier repeats the idea with four hearts, another big bow, and flowers with pointed leaves at both ends. A round pedestal stand holds the whole thing up. Shapes are large and clearly outlined, so younger kids can manage it, and older ones can add patterns. Soft yellow or sky blue for the birds works nicely, and alternating pink and red hearts down the tiers gives it a real party feel.
