Jerry Pinches Tom's Tail While He Reads on a Cushion

Tom the cat lies on his tummy on a big round cushion with an open book under his paws. His tail is stuck up in the air, and the tip looks pinched or squeezed, with little lines around it to show something just happened. Tom has turned his head with wide eyes and a surprised mouth, and a bold exclamation and question mark float above him with motion marks near his head and ear. Over on the left, Jerry the mouse stands on a ledge, grinning with his eyes squeezed shut, holding onto the tail. The big open shapes on the cushion are easy to fill in. Try soft grays or blues for Tom, brown for Jerry, and a bright color for the book pages. You could also ask kids to tell what they think happens next. This printable page works well for quiet time at home or in class.
