Tori Toro Sushi, a Num Noms Friend with Bear Ears
Coloring guide
Tori Toro is a sushi character, and here a squeezed-shut, squinting face peeks out from under a big rounded cap. Her name is labeled at the bottom of the page. The top of the sushi is a smooth, wide slab, and two small round bear-style ears poke out on each side. The body underneath is packed with rows of oval, bean-shaped rice grains in all sorts of sizes, so little hands get lots of tiny spaces to color. Her face has two thick angled eyes, a round dot nose and a small open mouth with a tongue. Nothing sits behind her, so she stands out clearly on the white page. Soft pink or orange suits the top slab, and the rice can stay creamy white or get a different pastel for every grain if you want a rainbow look. Grab this free printable for school or a rainy day. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big headband across the top and the sushi pieces with orange shapes in tangerine orange.
- 2Fill both bear ears with light orange, then color the inside of each ear rose pink.
- 3Color the large sushi pieces in golden yellow and the oval pieces in grass green, mixing in light green on a few pieces.
- 4Add khaki to the small pieces along the headband edge and to the lower left, and use pale mint on the two small mint pieces near the bottom.
- 5Leave the white rice pieces, the mouth, nose, and caption letters white, and keep the background empty.
- 6Optional: Add a few light strokes of a slightly darker shade on the headband and sushi to give them a textured, pencil-style look.
