Toy Road Mat Play with a Little Police Car and Officer
Coloring guide
A smiling toy-style police officer in a peaked cap, tie, and badge stands next to a happy young boy in a short-sleeved shirt and shorts. They're chatting on a play mat printed with winding roads. Up front, a little police car with a star on the door and a light bar on the roof sits on the road, with an orange traffic cone waiting close by. A building made of chunky toy bricks rises behind them, with a shield emblem above the doorway and a four-pane window. On the left shelf you'll find a teddy bear and a few books, and a potted plant rests on a windowsill at the right. Small round trees dot the mat. Bold, clear outlines suit preschoolers and early elementary kids. Classic blue and white for the car and a bright orange cone would look right. The free PDF prints at home with no sign-up needed. This fits right in with our Police Cars coloring pages — see also Tractor and Cars.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big road mat and sidewalk areas in light gray, leaving the white background in the bottom corners untouched.
- 2Fill the floor and wall areas with light tan, then color the grass patches and round trees in leaf green and light green.
- 3Color the station with bright red roof and red blocks, bright blue upper walls, and golden yellow lego blocks, then add pale blue window panes.
- 4Color the officer with royal blue cap and shirt, navy blue pants, charcoal shoes and cap brim, leaving the cap shield golden yellow.
- 5Color the boy's bright red shirt, royal blue shorts, bright blue shoes and orange hair, and fill the police car in bright red with pale blue windows.
- 6Optional: add a little shading with a darker shade of each color along the edges, and keep the cone stripes white for a clean highlight.
