Trick-or-Treaters Carrying Halloween Pumpkin Buckets

Coloring guide
Three smiling friends stroll along a neighborhood sidewalk on Halloween night, each holding a jack-o'-lantern candy bucket. On the left, a child wears a flowing ghost sheet with sneakers sticking out the bottom. In the middle is a girl with long wavy hair dressed as a cat, with ears, whiskers, a tail and a little bell at her collar. On the right, a young witch has a big pointed hat, a cape tied with a ribbon, striped tights and boots, and carries a broom. The background has glowing pumpkins on porch steps, a wreath on a front door, lamp posts, cozy houses, a big moon and fallen autumn leaves along the path. Large costume areas sit beside smaller leaf and house details, so a range of ages can enjoy it. A soft gray-lavender looks good on the ghost sheet, and all three buckets can be bright orange. Print it at home for free. More like this: explore the Halloween Pumpkins, Spring and Chinese New Year coloring page collections.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- beige
- charcoal gray
- navy blue
- royal purple
- warm peach
- soft yellow
- dusty blue
- leaf green
- dark violet
- pumpkin orange
- pale sky blue

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sky: fill the sky areas around the moon and tree tops with navy blue, leave the moon soft yellow, and keep the fluffy cloud pale sky blue.
- 2Color the trees and plants next: the tall tree on the right in bright yellow, the top tree in golden yellow, the left orange tree in pumpkin orange, tree trunks in chocolate brown, and the bushes and grass in leaf green.
- 3Work on the houses: color the house walls dusty blue, the gray roofs slate gray, the front door fire red, and the porch railing light gray.
- 4Fill the characters and pumpkins: give the faces and hands warm peach, the cat girl's sweater charcoal gray, the witch's hat and cape royal purple, and all the trick-or-treat buckets pumpkin orange. Leave the ghost costume white.
- 5Color the sidewalk, path and ground in beige, then add the leaves and broom details.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading on the path edges and the witch's cape to make the picture pop.
