Heart Vase Bouquet and Blank Card for Thank You Cards

A round vase with a row of hearts and horizontal stripes holds a big bouquet. Inside are tulips, three daisy-style flowers with dotted centers, and lots of pointed leaves and leafy sprigs. The vase rests on a small round three-legged table, and a blank folded card stands next to it, leaving room for kids to write their own thank-you once the coloring is done. Big flower shapes and simple outlines keep it easy for little ones, and the leaves and petals give older kids a place to practice shading. Warm pinks and reds work well for the tulips, sunny yellow for the daisies, and bright purple for the hearts on the vase. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the top tulip and the small heart shapes on the vase in tomato red, and fill the tulips on the left in rose pink and lavender purple.
- 2Fill the right tulip with golden yellow, then color the vase: light blue for the top band, rim and shoulder, sky blue for the lower body, and golden yellow for the middle stripe.
- 3Color the table top and its legs in warm brown, and fill the blank card with cream, leaving its folds lightly outlined.
- 4Fill the leaves with leaf green and bright green, using bright green for the lighter leaves on the right and left, then add the stems in olive green.
- 5Leave all daisy petals, centers and the gaps between stems white so the flowers stand out against the colored vase.
- 6Optional: add a little forest green shading in the darkest leaves and a touch of warm brown along the table edge for depth.
