Two Builders and a Cat Puzzling Over a Brick
Coloring guide
Two builders in hard hats stand side by side in this scene. The one on the left has a worried frown and rests a hand under his chin, as if he is thinking hard. The builder on the right wears overalls over a checkered shirt, holds a brick up high in one hand, and carries a folded paper in the other. His mouth is open in a small surprised O. Both wear tool belts with buckles and a few tools hanging from them. At their feet, a striped cat crouches with its eyes squeezed shut and its long tail curled up behind it. A tall rectangular block, a small cloud and a few bushes fill the background. Try coloring the checkered sleeves in two bright shades so the grid pattern really shows, then ask kids what they think the builders are puzzling over. The big hard hats and tool belts are easy to color for younger children, and this free printable page also suits a classroom unit about jobs.
