Attic Jam Session with Two Cats, 44 Cats Page
Coloring guide
A striped kitten in a hoodie sits on a big trunk with metal corners and a latch, watching a second kitten dance across a round braided rug. The dancer wears a loose t-shirt and baggy sweatpants, lifts one foot and holds a small guitar high with a happy grin. The cozy attic is full of music gear, including a keyboard, a guitar case, bongo drums, a snare drum with drumsticks and a tambourine on the floor. A round window with clouds sits in the middle of the wall, and string lights and two hanging lamps decorate the slanted roof. Posters with a star, a heart and a music note hang nearby, and a tiny cat peeks out of a box in the back. Lavender or sunny yellow for the dancer's outfit and warm wood browns for the trunk and floorboards would work well. Print the free PDF for a screen-free activity at home. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big wooden surfaces: fill the walls, roof beams, floor and shelves with a warm wood brown, and the orange-brown tones of the room with warm orange.
- 2Color the blue furniture and rug: fill the big trunk with royal blue, the hoodie and box with sky blue, and the rug rings with bright blue, teal and pale sage green in the center, leaving the rug fringe white.
- 3Paint the cats: the sitting cat in golden orange, the dancing cat in warm gray, with rose pink inner ears and the dancing cat's shirt in golden yellow, keeping the paws and feet white.
- 4Add the window and wall decor: sky in light sky blue, clouds in pale sky blue, hills and trees in grass green, the heart poster in coral pink, and the star and music note in golden yellow.
- 5Finish with small details: the guitar case in charcoal gray, the guitar in golden orange, the pants in light sky blue and the tambourine in cream. Optional: add a little darker shading under the cats and trunk for depth.
