Painting a Sunny Flower at the Easel, Oddbods Style
Coloring guide
Standing proudly beside an easel is a big, round, smiling creature with a curly tuft on its head. It holds a long paintbrush in one hand and a paint palette in the other. A small fluffy friend with big sparkly eyes hugs a cup of brushes nearby and grins up at the artwork. On the canvas, a bright sun with rays sits above a flower with a round center, petals, leaves and a stem. Paint splatters dot the floor, which gives little hands lots of small shapes to fill in. Yellow for the sun and pink or purple for the flower works nicely, and the palette blobs can go full rainbow. It's a free printable PDF for a calm, creative break. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big green alien: fill its body, arm and legs with lime green, leaving the eye whites bare.
- 2Color the blue monster's fluffy fur, face, hands and feet with sky blue, keeping its big eye whites white.
- 3Paint the canvas cream, then fill the sun with golden yellow and the flower petals with tomato red, with the flower center in amber orange.
- 4Color the two leaves with leaf green and the easel and palette wood with wood tan, then fill the paint bucket with soft purple.
- 5Add the palette paints: bright blue, golden yellow, tomato red, bright orange and leaf green dots, plus the puddles on the ground in matching colors.
- 6Optional: Finish the brushes with warm brown handles, light gray ferrules, and a golden yellow and tomato red bristle, leaving the sun rays white.
